Kicks

Phil, aka Mr P, is not only the head of the MrP agency but also a passionate music collector and cultural activist. For almost two decades, he has been spinning an eclectic mix of soul, A fervent advocate for the revival of House Garage and 90's sounds since 2008, Kicks is a well-established producer and DJ on the French scene, having made his debut with Cracki Records in 2013. Whether drawing from 90's Garage and Deep House, more broken beat, techy, or modern sounds, Kicks consistently maintains his underground character and the chord-laden tones that define his style. His music is a masterful blend of club and soulful influences, capturing the best of each generation and winning over labels such as Rutilance, Joule (Yoyaku), Ordinaire, La Zintrie... His tracks have been played by DJs like Djoko, Cinthie, and Chris Stussy, who even named his track "Marvin" as the best of 2020.

Fervent militant du retour de la House Garage et 90's depuis 2008, Kicks est un producteur et DJ bien installé dans le paysage français depuis sa première release sur Cracki Records en 2013. Qu'il pioche dans la Garage et la Deep House des années 90, dans un son plus breaké, techy ou moderne, Kicks garde toujours sa personnalité underground et les sonorités pleines d’accords qui font son style. Un savant mélange, à la fois club et soulful, qui prend le meilleur de chaque génération et a su convaincre des labels comme Rutilance, Joule (Yoyaku), Ordinaire, La Zintrie... Ses morceaux sont joués par Djoko, Cinthie ou encore Chris Stussy, qui a estimé son titre Marvin comme le meilleur track de l’année 2020
